I really thought that "When She Loved Me" by Sarah Mclachlan fit with Shadow and Maria perfectly... Like, not in a mean way, but basically, it's Shadow talking about Maria and the fun they had together... But then Maria was taken from Shadow, and he waited for her, though she would never return. But then, she looks at him again and smiles, and Shadow feels great... That would be when Maria speaks to Shadow once more in his mind, or when they are reunited in heaven (I know Shadow isn't dead, but if you can use your imagination for one second, it's heartbreaking). Anyway, here are the lyrics. I already drew a picture for the 3rd Verse. It shows Shadow lying on a weird plush thing, looking sad and lonely... It's really good, IMO. I will put it on Devart soon.

^_^ You should hear the song at this link. I have a music video for Shadow and Maria in Sonic X which is just beautiful, and the song is so sad. It's a japanese song, but the translation is at the link.
