There's No Easy Way Out

Well, I got my interim report back. I'm failing almost every course except french and computer tech. Math is really bad... but that's because I'm horrible at it, and english isn't doing well because I don't hand in my assignments on time or at all.

Sometimes, I don't even do them.

However, none of the teachers requested a parent-teacher interview. My mom told me that we're going tomorrow ANYWAY. ... I didn't hand in something that was worth 42 marks in Computer Tech. And in english, I haven't been handing in a whole LOAD of assignments. In french, I haven't handed in a few, and in Math, I've been completing my homework to a limit.

What am I going to do? Once mom finds out that I haven't been handing in my assignments to the teachers, she's going to flip.

I told Kanemaru-san that I was loving grade 11. I guess I was... until I started to failing it.

Tonight, I am going to do my math homework, then my english homework, then my french homework, and after, I'm going to type up that 42 mark assignment and hand it in... even if I don't get the marks, I want to prove that I CAN get my work done.

I also have an english project that I should start working on now.

...

Tomorrow is a short day... but I have nothing to be happy about. My heart is beating so fast... I feel as if a mental breakdown is coming on.

Because I was lazy and decided not to hand them in/complete them. I'm trying to hand in some now...

Hmmm, when I was in high school, I went through the same things. Not turning in my assignments and getting failing marks. But I mostly did that in math because I sucked at math, anyway.

I always passed each year, though. Looking back, I should've done all my work and I could've easily made the all A honor roll (I often made the A B honor roll).

Yeah. It sounds easy to just say "I'm gonna do all my work!" and it is, unless you think it's boring or that it'll take too long, OR if you get a ton of homework. I guess I really just have to set my mind to it. Especially for the essay I have due next friday.

Yeah, you tend to lose track in high school and just figure, "If I don't do this assignment, it won't hurt my grade." I often did that, and it turned into not doing another assignment, and another.... O_o I was always in trouble with my Mom because I'd get low marks in Math (and in English one year). I know exactly what you mean when you're afraid of your mother going to that parent/teacher conference. I've been yelled at by Mom plenty of times for my grades.

Just try and stay on task and, even if the assignments are boring or hard, just try and do them. A low mark is better than a zero.

Yeah, but I should get a higher mark than a lower mark. I will definately try harder. Especially in math and english.

Well, I'm back. It went over quite well... there are just some things I need to finish for english class. Mr. Rautianan(sp) is so nice... Even though those things are late, he's giving me half the mark on them if I get them in by tuesday. Yay~!
