I sent an email to Kanemaru-san telling him about our kitten Zen who passed away because of his bad cold.

This was my email:

Dear Kanemaru-san,
(This is more like an update. . .)
About half an hour ago, a kitten that we were looking after named Zen died.
It was suffering from a bad cold, and we did everything we could for it.
It gave a last horrible howl, and when Carolyn went to check on it... it was dead.
What should we do in this sad time? We could not save such a small thing...
