Message from my dad to my mom
Hi Jan,
We made it. We're in Shanghai! The trip was long, but went very smoothly.
We have internet in our rooms, so I'll be able to keep in touch easily on
this leg of the trip.
Tom and I are preparing a talk we're giving at SISU in a week. Qi Ming is
setting up a variety of things for us--including possibly buying bicycles!
For about 15 dollars we can buy a bike. One speed and serviceable. Then sell
it or give it away at the end of the week.
Food is excellent as usual. Health is fine.
I'll let you know more as more unfolds. It's 10:30 on May 31st now; we were
up at 5:30 a.m. so jet lag is there but not too bad, so far...
Talk soon, say hi to elaine and gang. Send me Elaine and Caro and Tom's
email (or does Tom have it...no I guess not). Send Anna's too.
